(Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide – Ghrelin Receptor Agonist)

GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2) is a synthetic hexapeptide belonging to the class of growth hormone secretagogues (GHS). It was developed as a potent analog within the GHRP peptide family and has been widely studied in experimental endocrinology for its ability to stimulate growth hormone release through activation of the Growth Hormone Secretagogue Receptor (GHS-R1a), also known as the ghrelin receptor.

Unlike direct administration of Growth Hormone, GHRP-2 acts by stimulating endogenous hormone release through hypothalamic and pituitary signaling pathways. Experimental research indicates that this mechanism involves interactions with the endogenous hormone Ghrelin pathway, which regulates appetite, metabolism, and growth hormone secretion.
